Phantom Pocket Review

The Phantom pocket from Phantom Lacrosse has been a point of controversy these last few months. Some stringers even go so far as to say "Phantom is trying to ruin the sport." After talking to Michael and getting my hands on the pocket it has become clear that Michael's goal is not to ruin the sport, but to provide an improved pocket for beginners and youth. Think back to the first stick you ever used, for most people it was a factory strung head. Now imagine that instead of using a factory strung head for your first season you used the Phantom Pocket. The Phantom helps teach correct form to beginners. This can help drastically speed up the development of a young player and can ensure that he doesn't develop the stunted mechanics that come along with a factory strung stick. This pocket has the potential to greatly improve the learning process of our youth, but only if we as a community are open to new ideas and products.
